The Pink Warriors will launch their statewide tour in front of Linden City Hall on Thursday, Oct. 1, at 11 a.m. The observance is planned as a Breast Cancer Awareness Month program, with survivors expected to share their stories alongside city representatives. Residents are encouraged to check city announcements for any last-minute details.
Those looking to spend time outdoors and help care for public space can join the Blue Acres Fall Cleanup on Friday, Oct. 16, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Tremley Point Blue Acres site. Volunteers will assist with tasks including weeding, pruning trees and shrubs, cage management and general cleanup. Lunch will be provided. To register, residents may contact the Division of Engineering at 908-474-8473 or engineering@linden-nj.gov.
Families may also register for a Linden Parks and Recreation trip to Disney on Ice on Sunday, Nov. 1. Registration closes Oct. 2. Transportation can be arranged for participants who need it; others may meet the group at Prudential Center by 2 p.m. Residents can register through Community Pass or contact Parks and Recreation at 908-474-8639 for availability and trip details.
Together, the programs offer different ways for residents to connect with their neighbors—through awareness, volunteer service and family recreation—as Linden moves into the fall season.
